Welcome Baby Walter!
3L was super excited to welcome Baby Walter and his Mom Jodie for their first Roots of Empathy Family Visit! Roots of Empathy is a social-emotional learning curriculum where a baby and parent visit a classroom 9 times throughout the school year. Lessons are taught before and after each visit that allow students to make connections to their own feelings and experiences, and promote empathy and perspective taking, as well as responding well to our own needs and feelings, as well as those of others.
Walter seemed super excited to see all the kids. He smiled almost the whole time! We look forward to getting to know him more and to watch him change and grow over his first year.
